Morreu na última terça-feira (01 de agosto), vítima de um câncer no ovário a atriz Mariann Mayberry, aos 52 anos.

Mayberry era membro do famoso grupo de teatro Steppenwolf Theatre Company em Chicago, Illinois desde 1993. Enquanto estava no Steppenwolf, ela foi indicada ao Prêmio Joseph Jefferson como atriz doadjuvante na peça Time of my Life, e novamente como atriz principal na peça Hysteria , dirigido por John Malkovich .

Mayberry foi casada com o ator Scott Jaeck , ela morreu na casa de sua irmã em Connecticut. Ela foi diagnosticada no início de 2013 e se retirou do palco em agosto de 2015, após uma série de Grand Concourse . O Steppenwolf Theatre cancelou o show daquela noite como um gesto de respeito.
